Compression range typically 8.5 to 9.5 to 1 to run comfortably on pump gas. 1 step up on the torque converter on the automatic Transmission or Manual Clutch. 3.25- 3.73 gears with stock or taller tires.
This engine category is considered one additional step up from our Daily Driver. Broad Throttle response, increased low to mid range power gains. More plant you in your seat Torque. Slightly more aggressive Muscle car idle but again ample vacuum to run power brakes.
Compression range typically 9.5- 10 to 1 to run pump gas 91 or up octane. 1-2 steps up on the torque converter on the automatic Transmission or Manual Clutch. 3.55- 3.73 gears with stock or performance tires.
Street / Strip
This engine category is our more aggressive powerplants but keeping with the goal of running majority of time on the street. Typically these are our bigger cubic inch motors with lots of seat of the pants torque and power! Aggressive Muscle car idle thump, Vacuum still good to run power brakes.
Compression range typically 10-11 to 1 to run pump gas 91-93 octane. Upgraded Transmission with higher stall speed torque converter on an automatic Transmission or Manual Clutch. 3.73-4.11 gears with stock / performance tires.
